Scale modeling ???

Anyone do scale modeling ? Wife bought me a couple for my birthday. Haven't done one for 45 years. Lots of fun... Not finished yet.

Working on my gift also. We have the 4dr. Velocity Blue, I was wanting the Velocity color but antimatter works for this one. It’s been about 40yrs. here also.

I used to be into those as a kid. There was a modeling shop next door to the grocery store my mom went to. When I had some money, I'd spend it in the shop while she bought groceries.

I doubt those shops exist anymore, but would be cool to get into again, especially since my attention to details has improved over the years.

Built a few kits when I was a kid, then got back into things again a few years ago. My wife calls it one of my "old man hobbies". Honestly a pretty relaxing way to wind down after work sometimes.

I built the '66 a few years back, and I'm now working on a 3rd gen. That one I'm trying to detail it to match the Bronco I drove back in high school, rust & all.

Luckily I've got a pretty nice hobby shop nearby that has tons of kits & supplies. Usually I'll head in to pick up a single color of paint I might need, and then I end up wandering the store for 30-40 minutes and leave with about 3x the stuff I planned on picking up.

Any worthwhile hobby shop will be stacked full of models. Lots of them.. conveniently.. have a Wheelbase just right to use as a body for 1/24 scale RC crawlers/trail trucks

I used a 1/24 maisto die-cast body for one of my little rigs.. she don't crawl worth a shit anymore with all that weight lol but it looks good. Eventually I'm gonna pick up one of their 1/18 scale diecast broncos to build it again.. just a lil bigger.

Finished my Stroppe now working on an Eruption Green to match my 6 gen. Still not as good as I 'd like to be but it is relaxing. I might just do all three new kits now that my painting skills are getting better.

1/64 scale for me, Hot Wheels, Matchbox, etc… I have a mini body shop set up to do them. Next up is a custom Bronco on 40’s in Eruption Green again.
