No, I was not successful installing them that way. There must be much more room with an F-150 since there was no way to make it work. I wasted 3-4 hours messing around trying to do it before giving up and doing it the way most people do. The one thing I did different was cut off the two bolts that connect the Fox coilover to the lower control arm which made removing the coilover so much easier and made it possible not to deal with taking the axle apart. I did have to then pound out the cut off bolts and use replacement bolts that I had from a leveling kit I didn't use. It made the process so much easier to take out the coilover and put it back once the perch collar was installed. I'd say this is the way to go whether you level using a spacer kit or a perch collar.

I actuall was successful with installing mine. I used the traditional spring compressor from Harbor Freight for the fronts, and the strut compressors for the rear. Took about 4 hours total in the driveway and a floor jack. I was not worried about it being sketchy because the springs never were removed from the Bronco. If the spring compressors ever let go, the springs werent going any where. Just watch your fingers.

Wow, I'm impressed you were able to do it. Thats awesome. I think I got nervous cranking down the springs so much that there would be room to unseat the perch and make room to install the perch collar. I guess I gave up too soon or you're braver than I was. I'm also impressed you were able to unseat the perch at all. I had to hammer it pretty well to get it loose and that was after removing the coilover. I bet it was difficult for you to do while the coilover was still installed.

To be fair, the collars were the smallest 2 piece ones RPG makes. Also, my Bronco was Mfg. in January 2025 so the perches weren't very stuck. I used a small sledge hammer and a 1/2" drive x 10" ratchet extension and just the hammer. Basically a metal solid bar. I tried a wooden dowel, but the wood absorbed most of the impact and the perch wouldn't budge. All in all, the RPG are top quality and lifted my Bronco about 1".
