Black Diamond with factory rock rail and SAS.
I am going to put on an aftermarket step. SAS is just too tall and the wait too long for a true rockrail/step. I am installing 4WP 2door step.
Since the factory rockrail must come off, I am looking for ideas to add a little protection to the bare rocker panel. Also, I do not like the look of the step showing the pinch weld of the rocker.
I am seeking something to give a little protection from small scrapes, thrown up gravel etc....not a rockrail type of protection. Thick rubber tape? Vinyl stick? Ford makes a plastic rocker panel stripfor Bronco but probably won't fit with step. Any Ideas?
In the future there will be true rails with steps so this could be just a year or 2 solution.
