Reset TPMS light?

It seems that recent sub zero Temps caused a variance in tire air pressure that set off my TPMS warning. I added air, and tire pressure on all wheels is verified at 35 PSI. I can't get the dash light to re set. I tried youtube instructions. Everything goes as described but in the end, the TPMS icon just flashes, reads "train left front tire" but doesn't re set. Advice?

TPMS Reset (with tool)
1) With vehicle off pump the brake once, key on, key off, key on, key off, key on but leave on. (5 presses)
2) Pump brake once more.
3) Now cycle the key 3 more times. On the 3rd time it should beep telling you tpms reset has been activated.
4) Using a TPMS relearn tool (Motorcraft TPMS19) - click the tires in order by the valve stem: DF, PF, PR, DR

TPMS Reset (Air Pressure)
1) Place the ignition in the off position and keep the key in the ignition.
2) Without starting the engine, turn your key to the ON position.
3) Quickly switch the hazard flashers on then off 3x.
Once your vehicle enters TPMS reset mode, the horn will sound once and a message will appear in the information display. If this does not occur, repeat the sequence.
4) Decrease the air pressure in the driver-side front tire until the horn sounds once.
5) Decrease the air pressure in the passenger-side front tire until the horn sounds once.
6) Decrease the air pressure in the passenger-side rear tire until the horn sounds once.
7) Decrease the air pressure in the driver-side rear tire until the horn sounds once.
8) Turn the ignition off.

I have a 2022 Badlands and the tire pressure warning turns off after the tires are inflated to 36 psi. Hope that helps.

I've not seen the message the OP has except when I swap wheels with different TPMS sensors... but you are correct - normally you have to go just a bit above what the sticker on the door says. The TPMS sensors aren't exactly highly precision calibrated instruments, the computer likes to round the readings off, and the computer is looking to the last decimal point it can possibly calculate. So if you have it 35 psi per your Harbor Freight gage, and the TPMS is reading 34.499999, the computer isn't going to clear the light because it didn't get above 35.

It ~might~ clear after some driving, because the tire will warm up and it's normal for PSI to go up by somewhere between 1-5psi once they do so (reason they always say to set your pressure on a cold tire).

But the error the OP has, I think is for a missing TPMS device all together. It might retrain per the procedure, it might be the little battery in it is dead and it needs replaced.

Do you have the TPMS-19 reset tool? I needed this when I first got my wheels/sensors and then when I rotated in the spare. You hold it next to the valve/sensor and hold the button for 20-30 seconds or until you hear the honk.
