Had a long talk with the engineer at Super Cell East. That is NOT the active louvres. They are much lower and behind the bumper. That piece is a cover for the top of the radiator. Removing it will not increase airflow.

Who in their right mind would think that when I said “the blue one” I was talking about the one on the left.

I don’t want to allege anything... but judging by that member’s recent posting history, my spidey sense is tingling.
Thanks for the commentary. Can someone please explain which model is the one on the left with the grey grille?

My apologies, I was getting thrown off because you’ve been asking some questions that sound like you’re well versed in the Bronco, and then asking questions that to me, would seem obvious to someone who’s as knowledgeable on the Bronco as I thought you were... so I interpreted the discrepancy as something it wasn’t.

My fault for making an assumption and letting it dictate my interpretation of events.

I’m sorry.

The one on the left is a Big Bend as you surmised.

The one on the right is the Outerbanks. The dead give away is the body colored fender flares.

The reason why they have different grills is because each trim basically has its own unique grill. You can see them clearly in the B&P. The only exception right now is the Wildtrak and First Edition share the same grill.

And once these hit the street and we can swap grills, all bets are off.

Thanks ! No problem. I’m trying to be well-versed, but do ask dumb questions sometimes. I wanted to know because I saw them both as blue but with different grilles. And, I was curious (and hopeful) that the BB grille would match the MIC roof.

Yes, it’s the active grille (or grill - whatever) aero shutter. It’s useful and good engineering, I just don’t like the look.

I want a classic grill(e) look plus more cooling for the 400+hp of an upgraded 2.7L twinturbo.
It's grille even in American-English.

@Vigor is that for adaptive cruise control maybe? I don't have my Bronco here to check it.

I prefer the grille on the Badlands / Wildtrak / FE. I'll be looking to swap out grilles.

Just put your keys into the fish bowl when you come inside.
