  • make sure whatever you get has a velcro back. in a hurry, you can just rip the bag off the velcro for quick access
  • agree with those saying build your own. best way to KNOW exactly what you have and why
  • if you do buy a pre-made kit, take the time to familiarize yourself with what's inside and why. And don't be afraid to add/subtract things as you see fit
  • finally, take a Medic First Aid Provider course from your local Red Cross. The most expensive kit might look tacticool hanging off your molle panel, but it's worthless if you don't know what's inside and how to use it
Very sound. Thank you.
one thing, I am not doing anything with any Red Cross.

Ended up with a vriexsd (if I got those random letters in the right order) off Amazon. Wife had gotten one that brand and liked it; she also liked the supplies in the 400 piece kit.

Built my own first aid kit using a Maxpedition pouch.

if you need help coming up with ideas for what to put in it look around on the EDC type forums or just search diy first aid kit. You will find lots of different lists and then you pick and choose what you like and or what suits your needs and make one from there.

And something to think about is your needs will change depending on where you are/go. You could build a giant all inclusive kit (bulky) or have a couple different ones. One might be for your day to day to get you from home to work and back. Might have another one that’s more tailored for going on vacation or the outdoors if your gonna go camping for the week.

Arrived today. Pretty nice little setup. Undo the buckle and pull it down from the Velcro MOLLE backing. Pictures available on request.
