Ford has repeatedly said they were listening to those of us that want this combination. They have never told us why it is not available. Seems like a reasonable request. Makes me think the answers is profits which would not be satisfying to us. Not sure I understand how this might impact their bottom line but I guess it does. It is a real shame. Makes me think about buying a Rubicon. That definitely doesn't help their profits!

It's most likely the case that they're just waiting to give it to the Bronco down the road. They didn't want to give us everything at once. I'm thinking if they give it as an option it'll probably be around the time of the rumored Bronco Raptor or maybe sometime before. Ford wants more people to buy the Bronco and eventually for most of us to turn in their 2021 for a new one when they add more stuff.

RRB that makes some sense and is consistent with the we're listening tease. Not sure how effective that will be as many of the enthusiasts will basically have new Broncos and will already have 35's on their BLs.

It may be coming if we keep pushing. That pricing survey email said the Mansquatch was "not currently available". There's hope.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. We all know the answer to a question never asked.

So let's look at that with real numbers....

Jeep Wrangler sales went from 56% having manuals, to less than 20% having manual order by 2018. Clearly a dying area of interest. Something with that precipitous a decline doesn't warrant the time from a profit standpoint.

And about my 5%, which was a total guess, I was actually...right.

Still, Jeep says that fewer than 5 percent of new Wranglers leave its Toledo, Ohio, assembly plant bound for U.S. showrooms with the manual transmission.

Bound for showrooms/dealer stock yes...i would like to see those numbers for customers who pre order. Dealers don't want a manual trans model sitting around because they then have to find that specific "enthusiast type" customer to buy it, whereas an auto for stock WILL eventually sell

I have a working theory on this topic. It appears that if you look at badlands trim all the squatch elements are there minus the 35s. My theory is that when crash and rollover safety tests were done they tested badlands on 33s and simply forgot to test that configuration (2.3/7mt/4.70) w/35s installed. While there is NO reason to think that combination would test poorly, it was simply forgotten. These tests are no doubt expensive...so from Fords perspective would you sell enough units to justify more testing? Its simply a business decision, which CAN be swayed by customer demand. By all means folks keep speaking up on this topic!

the manual transmission they plan to use is rated for 450 ft/lb of torque the ford performance canned tune brings the torque up to 460 ft/lb.

Yeah but you'll just buy the automatic anyways and pay ford $1600 more than you planned. Ford wins
Not all of us. I’d get a Badlands 2.3 manual before resorting to an auto w/ Sasquatch. Badlands has most of the stuff. Tires are easily swapped for larger ones. A trans... not so much.
