Hi guys. I am looking at the cervinis ram air hood for my 2022 sas obx. I have emailed the company and not getting a good answer. Hoping someone has one. It says it has a rain tray built in. I will not be using the ram air per se just like the hood for appearance. But also don’t want a flooded engine compartment since I live in Florida. Anything I should know it will it be fine as is. Thanks.

I don't think any of these ram air style hoods actually feed cool air into the engine so no worries about rain getting in. I think they might allow cool outside air into the engine compartment which helps but rain/water on the road will probably spray up as much as what can get into the opening.

I’ll chime in just to say don’t worry about your engine getting wet. Any engine gets wet in the rain, or bombing through puddles. I have the ADV louver hood, water gets in, no issues whatsoever.

You said Cervinis, but the posted pic is ADV; anyway I have the ADV and there is no meaningful amount of water getting into the screen even in heavy Gulf rains. As someone else said, plenty more gets in from splashing through puddles anyway.

I’ve had the adv hood for a year. No issues with fit or water.

I have the Cervini.
The rain tray is a plastic L-shaped piece that screws in on the inside (underside) and just keeps the rain and all from going directly on top of the engine.
There are two roughly 5/16" holes in the lower corners for water to exit via.
They are forward of the main part of the engine and direct it mostly down in front of the block.
