I am in need of some ideas on how to store the soft top so that I can protect it from rodents in the winter months while I run with the hard top. I do not have the capability to hang it in anyway so I am looking for some type of cover I guess. It is still in a garage so a solution does not need to be weather proof, just rodent proof.

They'll just chew thru the cover. I use peppermint spray AND the little green poison blocks. (careful if you have pets). AND sticky pads.....and/or get a cat.

Flat out don't use poison if you have pets. If your pet eats a rodent that's sick (and slow) thanks to poison, your pet will also be poisoned.

Peppermint and the blocks are what I use to keep them at bay in the basement with old school traps. The traps/ sticky paper I was hoping to avoid since I don't want to have to constantly check (or smell). We did have a cat hanging around over the last few years (not ours), might have to accidentally lock him in the garage next time its around.

.............ROTFLMAO!............

OH< and lock up any birdseed! I have quite a lot and once I realized the mice were dragging it thru the walls, into the basement....I got secure containers. No food, no mice!!

But put food and milk out for the cat, in the garage, lol.

We don't have any pets but that damn cat that hangs around either sucks at hunting or has a stomach of steel.

My cats only play with mice until they stop playing back — then it’s a gift for us in the bathtub

I do have a stray that comes around at night and leaves them under Bronco.

so not worried about my pets, but we do have a lot of fox, hawks, snakes, owls, etc that will eat whatever they can get ahold of. Some of that stuff is as bad as the mice (skunks - looking at you), but most of it I don’t mind hanging around

IDK how your soft top is stored, but getting it off the floor will help.
You don't have ANY wall space you could use?
We went with the @tofudrifter plan.

Its a very cramped garage because we store pellets for heating in the winter in it and there is already so much shelving that is all full. The small section where the hardtop is living now has shelving above. Which is where I planned to store the soft top as well, but would be on foam padding on the floor.

I wonder if they make giant sheets that can just wrap around the top!
I have tried dryer sheets over the years in my house and never knew if it really helped.

Plenty of sheets that you could wrap it with but nothing that’s mouse proof at any rate

A car dealer sale associate, said they use pieces of Irish spring soap under the hood and on top of fuel tanks to prevent rodents from nesting and wire eaters, I guess its the smell. It works great, I put it inside of my spa equipment area and around inside the garage stem wall. With no issues, and it won't hurt pets
