Proper Door Panel Alignment Issues?

Just got back from a Ford body shop - my issue (at least as of now) is the front fender needs to be "adjusted" (no idea what that entails - the AWESOME technician evaluating it for me said it involved removing it and and adjusting it "forward" to achieve a better door-to-fender alignment. Total time about 1-2 hours. Problem now is that this dealer said that Ford won't pay for it, because this was missed in the PDI from the origin dealership. I am going to simply pay it and then attempt to get reimbursement from the dealership (as was committed to by them when they told me I could find a local body shop instead of waiting for theirs). Hoping for the best with "that" battle...
So far (1 month of ownership, 300 miles) 2 quality issues (this one, and a defective rock rail that required full replacement). Losing a bit of confidence here with Quality Control - I had 2 F150 Raptors previously with ZERO issues (at delivery or post delivery) so hoping these are 2 anomalies...
