iF that is true-i most likely will be purchasing something else-so cant wait that long
Well...gadzooks. I give up on life. I’m gonna go drink a beer to celebrate this news.
Don't worry. That article still confirms production and delivery beginning in spring. Like all along production and delivery beginning into spring and potentially leading into 2022. Nothing has changed.

I'd bet they don't...not even close honestly. There will be a bunch that turn into 2022's.
Depends on their conversion rate from reservations to orders. I'd bet against 75%. And obviously as they get more pre-orders from now though January those may be 2022's, just don't think any of the existing ones will be. MAP can do 7200 cars a week (From what we here it will be 70% Broncos, 30% Rangers, and its 7200 for two weeks then 6000 for a week and back to 7200 due to OT rules) so that gives us 4200-5040 a week. 16k-20k a month. My guess is the first few weeks will take some ramp up times to get to full steam but they should be able to make and deliver 100,000 Broncos year one.

Honestly I think Ford has gotten themselves into a real pickle.

They opened reservations and everyone and their dog reserved a Bronco, plus dealers who wanted dealer stock once they heard that there wouldn't be any stock allocations. Ford needs Bronco to work after the whole Explorer debacle. So they kept, and continue to keep the reservations open. But after 130k reservations for just the Big Bronco the manufacturer expectations of 200k total (over 3 platforms) made the folks over at MAP etc nervous they couldn't fill that in a model year.
SO they couldn't close the reservations because hell they NEED this to go well. Therefore the best solution for them was to update their fulfillment promise to June-2022, hoping that they could down expectations.
Here's the biggest thing, expectations are still high for the Bronco and claiming the reservations are the only ones to get a 2021 gives the appearance of exclusivity. That's why you're now seeing Mansquatch, Lightning Blue and whatever is in the stables being "Late Delivery" I'm almost certain all "Late Delivery" features means 2022. That way they can spread out the Reservations without straining the manufacturing.
This way Ford can actually just spread 1 MY over two years. Then BAM when 2023 rolls around Warthog, 37s, Sasquatch Standard across all trims.

TL;DR: Ford is making Late Delivery features 2022 in order to space out the strain on production

Yup. I usually get prompt service in the service bay and parts department when I roll that in to grab stuff for the Ranger. The dealership i'm purchasing Bronco from wants to see the hand signed letter from Lee Iacocca thanking the family for trading in their '55 T-bird to get the '61. You know, gotta have 4 seats for the family hauler in 1961.

This is the only info I see that's new to me:
"We will continue to add new appearance and feature choices, including paint colors and special editions, for customers that have a longer wait."

So, some potential perks for the patient....maybe.

I read an article from last year that said it took 3 quarters for the Ranger line to get up to full speed. Maybe since they are running now, bronco will get up faster, but I agree that a startup lag would make sense. I recall seeing threads that say 3500-4000 per week. 100k by the end of the year would not be an issue.

They should just call them all 2022 models. They get to cross one January. Then everyone will have the same model year.
