Allotment affecting reservation fulfillment?

Been shopping around for a local Colorado dealer to move my reservation. Of course while referring to Granger's deal, one of the higher volume local dealers said that Granger is such a low volume dealer, they would not receive vehicles to fill their current reservations due to their low allotment. That did not make sense to me. I would think that the allotment would be vehicles provided to a dealership for sale on the lot based on previous performance - separate from reservations. Does anyone have any clarity on this? Seen some hints to this in other threads but nothing black and white.

If I were Ford, I would have greater confidence with a majority of orders going top sellers/high volume dealers.

Bottom line: Granger will get a lot of Broncos to fill reservations; however, big dealers will get proportionally more, and be able to fill a higher percentage of their orders. How it shakes out as to actual numbers is TBD.

There is a formula for allocations to fill reservations. It favors big dealers in big markets, but half of the formula is based on the total number of reservations converted to orders.

Well, I said in my post that I have seen mentions of this in other threads but not an answer. Perhaps if you've read all the countless words, you could shed some light on it?

Seems to me that if a reservation is converted to an order, that order should be processed in (roughly) the order the reservation was placed - regardless of allocation. Based on what you are saying, if an order is converted at a lower volume dealer, then theoretically a reservation holder lower on the reservation list could actually get their Bronco first if converted through a higher volume dealer.

I agree with you, and Ford had intended to do it in as close to order as they could, but the big dealers raised hell, and Ford bowed down and went back on their commitment to reservation holders.

When speaking about how many Broncos they get to fill reservations is this implying that some reservations at smaller dealerships will be filled later or not at all based on the ‘formula’?

Just for me personally, based on what I know, I’m not changing my reservation until Ford details the whole process for us next month.
