I couldn't get my procal to connect to the ecu when trying to pull the stock file. I had to jiggle and push on the obdII plug to get a proper connection which is kinda unusual. After that it worked flawlessly

That procal unit looks a little scruffy, is it brand new as they are vin locked hardware, no reusing. Sounds like perhaps you and the dealer think it is vin locked software?According to my nearest dealer, warranty is paired up when you register the vehicle against the download on the ford performance site.
He told me to go home and installā¦.so I did and hereās where Iām at.LOL
That was dirty fingers from opening a dusty hood and sweating like a sauna in the bronco trying to get it to load. It was brand new in the box. That procal unit looks a little scruffy, is it brand new as they are vin locked hardware, no reusing. Just spitballingā¦Iād return/exchange it. Did you have the latest version of the tune software and device firmware downloaded/installed? Correct part number for your engine size? That was dirty fingers from opening a dusty hood and sweating like a sauna in the bronco trying to get it to load. It was brand new in the box.

Not sure if lethal has come across this before on the hardware front.

Iāve seen this before on an already tuned vechile with the gauges running all the time. Reseating the cable resolved it. The issues you are having are likely connectivity from the cable to the port as youāve discovered. I had a similar issue with tools in another vehicle and my solution was to buy a port splitter that had a better connection to the port and never had issues again. Take a look at the port see if there is any indication of bent pins. It can happen and cause these kind of problems, especially if it goes in at an angle with force.Wellā¦.Iām back up and running. Had to connect to FDRS, had a ton of communication failures, updated the PCM and Iām back in business with a running vehicle.
Had my tech standing by, tried to upload again. ProCal wonāt connect to the vehicle, much like it was doing before.
