Hi Guys,
I was just in the dealer and wanted to place a new order and they said a couple of things I wanted to check on. I was going to order several months ago, but saw the issues with the tops(really wanted the modular), and wanted to actually see the size of a Badlands with 33" tires on it, etc. Now I am paying the price and might be waiting for 18 months, etc, but have a couple of questions
1. Dealer said to wait to place an order until September because they cannot enter anything in for 2021 anymore anyway. She said there might be some new options for the 2022s anyway, which makes sense, but at this point I am even worried about getting a 2022
2. I asked if there is anyway I could lock in on price. In other words, if I order a 2022 and end up getting a 2023, do I have to pay the price increases that Ford is going to add in each year? Dealer said Ford did have price lock, but that ended in March and that now I am probably screwed and will have to pay whatever future price that Ford has listed, when it shows up. So if they raise the price for 2022 by 5% and another 5% for 2023 I am looking at a 10% price increase.
Does anyone know if those statements are correct?
Thanks,
Dan
