I remember a You Tube video where a Husband and Wife did sound deadening on their Bronco and it looked frighteningly complicated. I wonder if the payoff is worth the effort. I'd just be happy with the wind noise from the top going away - not sure I'd feel the need for all this.

I followed the guide below and it helped a ton with wind noise

BUT, the problem is you'll start to notice the road noise more since the wind noise is reduced, so that's where the additional sound deadening in the cabin would be beneficial

I did a complete sound deadening of one of my cars before....

ultimately I don't think it was worth the expense and amount of time it took... but it's definitely a personal thing.

I know the video you are talking about - yeah they pulled everything and lined the entire interior.

Getting the interior apart isn't that bad actually. I haven't done the door cards yet, but everything else has been surprisingly easy to get apart. My biggest gripe is the interior plastic is so damn soft - it makes the molded clips extremely easy to deform or break, and the trim itself very easy to scratch or gouge. Apart from that crappy plastic, the seats and carpet and everything are actually really easy to get out compared to many other vehicles - especially if you just pop the doors off while you are working.

That said -
I have my doubts that going to that level of coverage does much over just hitting the big, wide open areas and strategic points near speakers or likely rattle spots... but to each their own.

Yeah. I took the rear side panels off to properly run a bunch of power/camera/sound wires... Those stupid 2 part body panel clips broke so easily. And it's like $6 a piece to replace them. I went with some generic replacements, but they don't hold as well. And then the molded parts that work like hooks all over the body, there's so many broken on mine :(
Only reason I hate taking panels off. I have like a 75% chance some piece of plastic is gonna break.
