Power steps - anyone install?

How did you make the wiring harness work? I’m beyond frustrated!

Ran the harness up thru the passenger floor for the magnets. . And for the driver side motors across the frame to the drivers side steps. Works out well for me. I have a 2 door also. I just tried to keep it away from the exhaust and didn’t let any wires. Hang down

Question for you, where did you install the controller? The instructions say the drivers side but there is no place on the drivers side to mount it and the pics they show in the instructions are of the passenger side. So frustrating! Thanks!

With the rough country on a 4 door, there is a place on the driver's side to mount it. On the two door the rough country comes with an adapter plate that has to be used to mount in a similar location.

I did the Aamp Smart Steps on my 24 Wildtrak 4dr. Main reason was so I could deploy and retract them with the phone app when the doors are off. They work flawlessly. Been installed approx 8 months.

Do the power steps do as good a job protecting against rock chips, or are the factory steps still the best option for that?

With the rough country on a 4 door, there is a place on the driver's side to mount it. On the two door the rough country comes with an adapter plate that has to be used to mount in a similar location.

My set didn't come with an additional adapter plate to mount them on the driver side. Going to look at things with fresh eyes this morning and always open to any suggestions.

I installed mine last July and I too installed the controller on the passenger side. Now that I installed Eibach coil overs and 37" tires I appreciate them more. My wife said it was the best mod yet.
