I hope not because then I would wonder if permanent damage has been done. I have 7600 on it now.I had a ranger an a few guys on that forum had a problem like this an the dealer found they left the factory low on trans fluid.
Get that transmission fluid change too If there is anything left to put fluid back intoā¦ OUCH !I have an appointment next week with the local Ford dealer. I will report back after that.
Probably be a hard argument at only 7600 miles, but it depends on whether or not it was low from the factory and by how much.Get that transmission fluid change too If there is anything left to put fluid back intoā¦ OUCH !
Cheers to simpleā¦Probably be a hard argument at only 7600 miles, but it depends on whether or not it was low from the factory and by how much.
I should have had the dealer that I bought it from check it before we drove off the lot, but (of course) one expects the OEM to have done that on the assembly line.
In the end, hopefully it is something simple.
They were only low less than a quart. I don't think it was enough to overheat but affected line pressure for shifting.I hope not because then I would wonder if permanent damage has been done. I have 7600 on it now.
Curiously enough, I thought the problem was resolved after the reprogramming, but it happened yesterday morning after pulling away from a stop sign. It became stuck in second. I had to shift to manual and back to drive and it began shifting normally.Update:
Ford is installing a new transmission after the tsb didnāt solve the issue.
Time to have a new transmission put in. Start again with clean transmission fluid..Curiously enough, I thought the problem was resolved after the reprogramming, but it happened yesterday morning after pulling away from a stop sign. Did yours remain stuck in 3rd to be able to show the dealer or is it intermittent?
