Donā€™t use EcO, itā€™s 2H or 4H, most of this winter.. It is constant issue in 2H.. After the crack check ( upper control are mount) and removing the RSE steps this Bronco is being sold back to Dealership.. Donā€™t want a 2.3L again..

I hope not because then I would wonder if permanent damage has been done. I have 7600 on it now.

Probably be a hard argument at only 7600 miles, but it depends on whether or not it was low from the factory and by how much.

I should have had the dealer that I bought it from check it before we drove off the lot, but (of course) one expects the OEM to have done that on the assembly line.

In the end, hopefully it is something simple.

They were only low less than a quart. I don't think it was enough to overheat but affected line pressure for shifting.

I don't trust the ford assembly line for nothing and the Transmission fluid is the only one I haven't checked or changed.

Seems like a real pita to try and do.

Dropped it at Ford today and not unexpectedly, they could not replicate the issue.

They did check the fluid level which was my main concern and it was fine. They reset the adaptive shifting and sent me on my way.

2,000 miles to go before I dump the fluid and filter and install the PPE deep pan. I'll post videos of that process in my build thread.

My bronco was doing the same thing. My dealer performed the tsb you posted. Since then it has been running fine but yesterday it got stuck in 3rd. This was also illuminated on the dash. Let us know if you make any progress.

Update:
Ford is installing a new transmission after the tsb didnā€™t solve the issue.

Curiously enough, I thought the problem was resolved after the reprogramming, but it happened yesterday morning after pulling away from a stop sign. It became stuck in second. I had to shift to manual and back to drive and it began shifting normally.

Did yours remain stuck in 3rd to be able to show the dealer or is it intermittent?

Time to have a new transmission put in. Start again with clean transmission fluid.. šŸ˜‚
