Portable fire pit recommendations?

Here’s a “Bronco” solution that looks nice, but quite pricey. I have not purchased it, so I have no idea how well it works.

People not using these keeps me in business. In NM we almost always have such heavy fire restrictions that I basically had to buy a propane one. It sucks that so many people can't be bothered to police their fires, and the rest of us lose out on one of the best parts of camping.

Yep, that is the problem that access to the masses has resulted in & few want to take responsibility for anything these days.
During the Plandemic, I went up to the Mountains in Big Bear and came across an area that looked like they knocked over an over filled dumpster from KFC. It was almost unimaginable to find that in the forest !!! I hauled out as much as I could.

A friend of mine gifted me one of these, Fireside Pop Up fire pits.
They are awesome.
They're light weight and compact, will hold a huge amount of fire wood.
They have a full line of accessories, you can turn it into a grill, they have a fire blanket to bank it when done.
I wore out the bottom heat shield and they sent me a new one, no questions asked.

It's due to a recently discovered genetic mutation. If you're over a certain age it's still safe to drink from a garden hose.

That's one of the reasons you let it run a bit. That and flush any bugs out of it. Those pincher bugs love to crawl into them

Oh, those were the days.
Our friend on the Dusy Trip made this one & it beat the heck out of throwing a red chem-light on the ground and pretending it was fire . Recently I have been thinking about making one myself to remember him after that experience as open fire out west are all but a thing of the past.
If I do, I will name it after his handle honoring his memory
