Just to catch you up, the photo was posted at the request of the "professional" that sold me the kit, Joe @plugnplaykits. Do you know of any good online learning resources I can study while I wait for a response? I've been watching CarAudioFabrication.
Nothing wrong with that. Try googling “multi channel car audio amp settings”. I feel it’s easier to learn it by reading the info vs watching videos. Better yet pull down the owners manul pdf right from Musway’s website and look at the different config settings. They show several different installs with correct switch settings etc…

Have you called Musway? I am doing an M6 install, and had a couple questions. Joeseph spent 30 minutes with me, remoted into my computer, and configured all channels for my system. I had missed a couple wires- got those run and the system runs and sounds great.

@German88 Sincerely appreciate the help. I've spent a considerable amount of time reading through all the Musway literature and hours of trial and error. Perhaps you or someone with some more knowledge can critique my setup. Below is a description of my noob logic and how I got to where I am:

1) Started with Typical Application C as shown below. Unfortunately it sounded like hot garbage.
Ford Bronco Plug n Play Musway Install Captur

2) Went into ForScan and set the rears to full range and changed the front/kicks to "speaker". The dash speakers have bass blockers installed so I didn't feel the need to have them set up as tweeters.

3) I set input sensitivity using 40hz tone until I got distortion then backed it off 1/8 turn.

4) The front/kick speakers sounded considerably worse than the rear speakers (while both set to "FULL" on the amp) so I switched channels 1/2 with 3/4 on the outputs, moving the poorer quality audio to the rear speakers, thus making it less noticeable.

5)What you see as far as HP/LP settings in my photo are just experiments since "FULL" did not sound good. All I was trying to do there was take a little off the top & bottom.

Maybe I just need to take it to a pro. Honestly didn't think this was going to be such a challenge. I've done amp setups on past vehicles and they just worked. It's kinda a bummer I got upsold on this system by the seller then have gotten poor support. Live and learn.

Haven't tried that. Thanks for the suggestion.

Set to full, it's probably the bass that's causing it to sound like shit.

That's why you want the high pass filter set to about 300 Hz and then bring it down until the speaker response gets shitty.

Did you wire the speakers for the front in series or parallel?

You should do an Ohm reading across the channel to insure that you are above 2 ohms, too high is better than too low in this case, better to have 8 ohms rather than being at or below 2 ohms.

Also you can disconnect the kick panel speakers or the dash speakers to see if you can track down which are doing what, if need be.

Following. I’ve got the same setup and the sound quality has been bothering me. Let me know what you figure out @TwoPumpChump

Talked to Joseph at Musway. Very helpful. He sent me a pic of his recommended settings and that greatly improved the sound (see below).
Still far from perfect but I am at a point where I am happy with the sound. Way better than stock. But that's to be expected for over $1700 invested.

Couple things working against you here. First is your not getting enough mid bass from your 6.5" kick panels with the HP filter. Your front sound stage will be greatly lacking without this. I would consider running the front 4" dash and 6.5 kicks on channels 1,2,3,4 and bridge ch 5,6 for the sub. Leave out the pods until you have the front stage dialed in. You can add an inexpensive 2 channel amp if you feel you need the rear fill later.

See if Joseph has the same thoughts and ask him if he can help you calibrate the "Full Pass" filter potentiometer on the both the HP 4" dash & 6.5's kicks.

below is the frequency response range of your front stage based on the speakers you have.

4" 60HZ-20khz
6.5" mid base 43HZ-21khz

I would consider not letting the 4"s play down below say 300hz and let the 6.5's play from 50hz-300ish. You can adjust the full pass filter on the high end for the 6.5"s if you 300 doesn't give you enough high end but doubtful you'll need to.

I realize your using 2 way's in both locations but this will still be a better approach in my opinion if your looking for sound quality vs output.

The comment about running the 4 front speakers off 1/2/3/4 is a good one. To get the kick panel mid bass speakers to come forward you really need control of them separately from the dash speakers. Then you could add a small 2-channel to run the rear pods. Also, in my experience, only the front factory speaker outputs are "full range" so on the input side are you feeding all 6 amp channels with front right and front left? This is the way I would do it, you would loose fader but you can set front/rear bias from the amp. Also, on the Bronco base head unit, the output signal will clip hard at about 80%. I don't recall the number but its a hard clip right at a certain step so need to not use volume above that number. We are also a Musway dealer and Joseph is always a great help.

I am considering upgrading to the Musway M5 DSP amp (from Kicker Key 200.4) in my Bronco. Currently have Kicker 2-way speakers all around. Does it make any sense to upgrade fronts to component speakers or will the sound difference be negligible? Thanks!
