About to change out rear struts for aftermarket soon. Just wanted confirm that ok to place jack stands just forward of the rear trailing arm along frame rail? Doesn't look like a lot of space.
Then I can support one rear side at time leaving other rear tire on the ground. Floor jack under rear...
Yes that is the problem I'm facing on my 2door base. Apparently it's the lightest model so even the min height using Stage 2 lift from Eibach is about 2.5" at the rear. Didn't really want to go that high though. Glad to hear positive review of the ride quality.
Thanks for the reply! So my base is currently running 34" tires so about 4" larger diameter than stock. Gained about 2" ground clearance. Don't really want to go more than 1-2" of additional lift on top of the tires. May need to go to the Stage 1 kit where I can get a lower lift but of course...
Hello. Bronco base 2 door 2.3L and considering upgrade of stock suspension to the Eibach stage 2 coilover system. My base bronco is fairly light. Anyone with a similar type base bronco install this kit? I don't want to go too high, and it appears minimum rear lift is about 2.4". I wanted to find...
Hi there. Was curious if you ever installed the Ford Performance on your 2 door base and had any updated feedback as well? Considering a mild lift of 1.5-2" and mine is similar base with 2.3L so relatively light vehicle.
HaHa yes I hear you abut the crappy roads and potholes, fun stuff like that. Normal street pressure for me is about 33-34psi cold which is a good compromise. Below that maybe 32psi or lower handling gets heavy I don't like the feel as much with little change in ride quality going down lower on...
Well I finally decided--LT285/75/17 (load C) it is. Looks a lot better. Now I had stockish tires before and to be honest these LT tires do ride firmer and you can really feel the road with these tires, especially on rough pavement. Maybe too much. Not an uncomfortable ride but it is definitely...
Hi. Wanted to resurrect this topic briefly. Any recent updates on good shops in the San Fernando Valley area. Might be looking for help to install spacers or coilovers, alignment, etc. Quality install is more important than price at this point. Thanks!
Thanks all for the responses! Going out this week to look at some more tire options. I'm thinking a load range SL or at most C would fit my needs of priority onroad ride. Narrowed it down to either 285/70 or 285/75. 285/70 has the option of SL, but I just like the looks of 285/75 better what...
Curious if you had SL rated tires and then noticed a difference running load range C as far as noise or stiffer on road ride? 285/70/17 available in SL and C, but the 285/75/17 only available in load range C and up.
Thanks for all the replies. Never really considered the 255/85/17 size as I thought it might be too skinny but then again never really saw one up close. I'll check into those. Any handling issues since that size is much taller than the stock size but same width?
Hello--must of looked through hundreds of posts but can't make a decision and need a little help. Here's my current Bronco setup:
OEM wheels off a Ranger 17" +55 offset
Firestone 265/70/17 Destination AT2 (very good tire so far)
Looking for a more aggressive and taller tire keeping same...
Well as a follow up to my above leak, I have not taken it to the dealer yet. What I am trying is inserting a piece of foam rubber round weatherstrip along the top edge of each rear side window from the outside. Its thin enough to fit into the gap and the channel.
Unfortunately no rain test yet...
Interesting...were you ever able to track down what caused the rattle--loose clip or is it just the subwoofer/enclosure? I wouldn't want a bunch of vibrations and rattles from the sub. I don't have any vibrations problems with the 8" kicker in oem location currently.
