Parasitic draw with a closed hood

I recently detected a parasitic draw, did some measurements and experiments, and figured out that it only happens when the hood is fully closed. When the hood is open or not fully closed, everything is fine. Even with the lock fully engaged and the hood touching the lock (but not fully closed), it doesn’t happen. I tried measuring the draw with the hood closed but didn’t see anything, so maybe it starts later and not right away.

Any suggestions? I’ve scheduled an appointment with the dealer, but it’s not until January.

How much of a draw?Does it still start OK? I just always keep a batt maintainer connected when parked in Garage as sometimes mine not driven for weeks.

It could drain a battery in a night. Not fully but from full charge to 12 V or so… can’t hold 2 days without charging.

Ok check on the new software update. I have had what I thought was a draw also. I think the reason the hood open works is because the car has safety settings that do not power many of the modules. Like you can't remote start with the hood open. Anyways I have seen some weird electrical stuff after the latest update. Like I have a weird set of presets....my seat heater is on and the steering wheel heater is on. So anyways something to think about.

It has been happening for a while. I was able to troubleshoot it to a closed hood specifically just recently. Got the update after that, but the problem still remains
