Forgive me for asking what has probably been asked before, I've done some searching and couldn't find anything definitive (or found conflicting information)
I've currently got an order that my dealer has re-submitted to ford for a 2022. Ford's website is aware, but the status says "Ordering with dealer", which leads me to believe there is something odd going on with it. I have an order number, but never seen anything but "ordering with dealer". Is there something I need to change?
Also, I know there was some option where I could change dealers, but I assume that option is really only available at specific times in the ordering process. I've got a strange sneaking suspicion that the dealer i originally picked may be changing to more shady practices, or always were and was very convincing about the fact they weren't gonna be trying to markup the bronco.
I'm likely going to be driving at lest 150-200mi to get to a reputable dealer, and just want to do what I can to know up front what I can expect to pay and not drive 150-200mi only to be surprised with a markup and get screwed out of my bronco order.
So is "ordering with dealer" even after they submit it to ford something to expect? And if i'm in this status, is it too late / too early to switch dealers? If I do switch, would that make my order automatically take longer?
