Order Abandonment

Salesman at my local dealer (Bozard) told me yesterday they would not be marking them up and would sell at MSRP. We will see.

I too am not going to take delivery. Ford has screwed the pooch on this roll-out and I have had enough. I contacted my dealer and told him to cancel and he told me he would just call me when it came in which I took to mean he would just put it on the lot. He has been a great dealer and communicator and I don't blame him at all; and, I was getting it at around $100.00 over invoice.
So, I ordered a Jeep 392 which will be in in the middle of August. I may revisit the Bronco in a few years after Ford has worked out all the kinks. You folks have been a great source of knowledge and just good banter but I can't take it anymore. I wish you all the best and I hope you enjoy your new Bronco (whenever that may be )

I have noticed some dealers have abandoned special orders in their inventory (green window stickers). Has anyone thought about taking advantage of these orphaned Broncos?

I don’t see the connection to a Green Window sticker. Mine is a “Special Order” and Green. I’ve seen most all are green. Sports are Blue?

A lot of these “orphaned” Broncos were never ordered by retail customers. They were ordered by dealer employees and intentionally “abandoned” to dealer stock, where they could be sold off the lot with ADM to the highest bidder.

While some legitimate abandonment always occurs with special orders (e.g., death, loss of job, military deployment), this undesirable dealer practice is why Ford implemented a Bronco Name Match Integrity Policy, with specific penalties for policy violation.

Whether or not Ford will enforce the policy in 21MY is still to be determined.

I have found an elusive abandoned special order without a markup, and pulled the trigger! Purchased last night and will have it delivered next week (out of state purchase). Immediately 99d my current order with my local dealer, so as not to take a spot from someone waiting patently for their build. They are out there to buy, just need to put the feelers out there and be meticulous. First order of business, Wheels and tires lol

I wouldn't even know how to look for one of these. We've found that autotrader just has random inventory of customer orders mixed in with dealer offerings. It's a crap shoot on which ones are available. Do you need to just call around and get lucky?
