Kind of stuck and could use some advice. Have a 4 door Badlands SAS with MIC hard top. The back shell of the hard top fell and the tailgate window blew out. The damage was extensive enough that Safelite couldn't simply replace the window. It's about to get cold here in Michigan and I need a fix. My Ford dealer wants about $6K for the replace. Wondering if anyone is selling a back shell or would recommend one of the after market options.

If I were going to get an aftermarket hardtop, I'd go for the Armadillo Designs one. I like the looks of it.

You could also go soft top. The OEM Soft Top is frequently found being sold on Facebook Marketplace as a lot of people get Dual Tops and end up selling their soft top.

Should be by now an ample supply of four door Broncos with hard tops in salvage/ insurance wreck yards. The rear section on most is probably pristine. I would scour those sites for the section.

You should be able to order the rear clamshell bare. That's what Ford sends dealerships to replace defective tops. The dealership swaps the glass over. Ask the dealership if that option is available. You may need to do it through the dealership's collision shop. Worth asking.
