Oil Filter Cover Center Stem Removal

Hola,

I am going to replace my Plastic Oil Filter Housing with a Billet MMS Housing. I need to remove the Center Stem from the OEM Housing and re-install it in the Billet. I have attempted to remove it but is doesn't want to budge and I don't want to force it. Do any of you have any info on this?

I thought the 2.3 had spin-on oil filters.

They do. 2.7 & 3.0 are cartridge.
