That pretty much is exactly using the Auto on the HVAC. You may have overridden the fan speed, but it’s still automatically controlling the heater blend and A/C to adjust to your temp.

It’s not the same thing as the peasant blue<->red dial that just sticks the heater blend at wherever you turn the dial.

I can assure you, automatic climate control is not enabled in my vehicle. Not to mention, it's ran a particular way reliably since I've had it. Yesterday is the only day it didn't and as soon as I removed the fuse tap it went back to how it always ran. Then I was able to replicate the problem 2 more times today by only adding and removing the tap. What else could it be?

The variables are still the exact same whether you’re using auto or not. Not using auto doesn’t stop the HVAC module from using numerous different inputs and sensors from deciding whether to blow warm air or cold. I think there’s a lack of understanding of how the HVAC system works on modern Ford vehicles.

Either way, the specific circuit in question has no interaction whatsoever with the HVAC system nor the oil temperature sensor. So it really doesn’t matter how the HVAC works.
