Bummer. I don’t think I’m going to move forward with their offer just yet then. I don’t feel like going through the trouble of changing the assemblies if it’s not a long term solution. Mainly because I have the Turn HD tire carrier and it makes it difficult to access the passenger light.

I hear ya, I've changed them so many times now, that I can do it under 20 mins. p.s. (I also have the TOR tailgate)

What’s your method for getting that vertical trim off without damaging it? Placing a rag between or something?

no cloth just need to twist the bottom of the plastic trim away from the tailgate until it comes loose, it definitely took me longer the first time but after replacing the light in 30 degree weather I'm pretty confident it won't break. Take your time with it, but after enough twist you'll see how it comes loose

I’ve taken that part off a few times at this point - but, not since installing the TOR. I had Oracles on my 2021 and the resistors failed numerous times. I assumed the bulkier hinges got in the way and made it a bit more difficult. Glad to know it’s doable.

it's actually the little tab on the hinges that makes it difficult, without them it wouldn't be an issue at all

Bad news, I was told my Morimoto support that they have stopped looking into this issue on Halogen equipped Broncos. Only recourse is to make another warranty claim (which they stopped at one point for me stating that a new set will not fix the issue).

I made a warranty claim again, and am waiting response. Since the weather is getting better I imagine the lights will work until November and this process repeats.

It seems odd that a company won't fix, replace, or refund this for customers? I never said a warranty replacement wasn't possible - if you're experiencing issues with a Morimoto light, the warranty is definitely the correct process to go with.

I would recommend completing the warranty form - https://www.morimotohid.com/warrantyrequest/new

Once we get that information from you, we will take a look and likely will need to replace these taillights under warranty.

Ahhh, yes. Back in November that was what we were being told regarding this issue, but since it is no longer being actively investigated we are now able to send replacements if necessary for any failures.

Just let me know how you would like to proceed and we'll get that going for you as soon as possible.
