$2K to solve a squeak? I'd just turn up the radio :sneaky:

Heck, I'd crawl under the dash and try some dry lube the pivot point & mechanical brake linkage 🤠

That's why it's a lot. The 2.7 has an EBB, so it's a booster/master cylinder/abs module all in one.
Very common for them to make noise when applying the brake pedal which is considered normal by Ford. Obviously I cant hear the noise yours is making, but don't be surprised if a new one makes the same noise.
Asking Ducati1098 if this is something that would be covered by fords premium ESP plane

If Ford considers the noise "normal" they will not cover it under warranty.

Both Broncos (2.7, both) I have owned have made the squeak noise since new. It's considered normal, and I have learned to ignore it. The brakes work well even while pulling a light trailer, so I won't get bent out of shape over a momentary squeak.

The quote was at Christian Brothers Automotive. I asked them if there was any safety risk and they said, "no". They said it's just annoying and that I might experience changing pedal feel but that I can stop the vehicle in any case.
Christian Brothers??? Run don’t walk. Do yo have a 2.3 or a 2.7? 2.7s use an electronic brake booster. They are a little pricey, but I wouldn’t use a reman from a parts store, and I wouldn’t let Christian Brothers install it. If it’s a 2.3, 2K for a booster sounds like a rip off to me.

I don’t know parts prices real well, but I am the shop foreman at a large metro Ford dealership, I know about fixing these vehicles and I wouldn’t let a franchised independent repair facility work on my Bronco. Dealers aren’t perfect, but your odds are better at the dealer. And from experiences others have told me about, the dealer might be very competitive on price. Maybe even less.

And, after I read through the complete thread, the responses about some noise out of an EBB are correct. Usually a click when you first press the pedal, and then a hydraulic noise as press the pedal down. The dealer could tell you if it’s normal.
