No key detected

This happens on all four of my recent Fords (regardless of whether it is a keyless fob or keyed fob). All I do is press the fob's "lock" button and then the "unlock" button. Has worked every time; back in action. Have no idea what's going on, but for me the fix is simple. Annoying, but simple.

I've had the same problem, I can unlock the door with my key fob hop in and push the start button only to get the no key detected message last service I had dealer check it out and as usual they couldn't find anything wrong but changed the battery, I find when it won't start I lay my key fob on the top of my dash and it usually starts or hit the lock unlock button a couple times, I've even started it through this process and started driving down the street and the no key detected message will pop up again when I'm driving it's frustrating but I just kinda shake my head and deal with it now

That has worked for me too.

I've experienced this issue in my Bronco and Expedition. Weirdly, I think it could also be location based. It routinely happens to me at a grocery store in northern Michigan and a restaurant in suburban Detroit. Other than that, I haven't had the issue. There could be signal interference in those spots that messes with the key fob, at least from what I've read online.

Nice topic for my first post!

I bought a '23 Black Diamond a couple of week ago and love the vehicle. It goes nicely with the '25 F150 PB I got in November.

I just stated getting the no key detected error.

I change batteries in both fobs with good known batteries.
I can start by holding the key to the start/stop button
I'f I have in in my right pocket, no key detected
If I have in my left pocket, works sometimes.
I can lock and unlock the bronco from inside the house or 50 feet away but walk up to it and it won't unlock until the 3 rd to 4th try.
If I lay the key in the uphold or by the mag charger all works fine.

I'm trying to see if an antenna is out or what before I take it to the dealer.

I bought it from a nonfood Jeep/Dodge/Crysler dealership or whatever they call them selves so hard fro me to go back to my local dealer and whine...

I'm starting to research this issue and haven't found a fix yet.

I had the No Fob detected issue ~6 months ago on my 4 month old (at the time) 2025 badlands SAS. There's a few posts on here if you do a search.
In my case, we just got back from a weeklong camping/fishing trip in the Mammoth Mountain area, so my Bronco sat in the driveway for that week, we took my F-350 to haul camping gear, float tubes ect. We got back and went to move cars out of the driveway and the Bronco got the "Fob Not detected" massage, I tried the second fob, no go, put them in the little pocket in the center console, no go, new fob batteries, no go, charged the starting battery (it sat for a week), no go.
I called ford and had it towed to the dealership, but.... with the way it was sitting in the driveway they had to tow it from the front. Since I could not put the ignition in Accessory mode it would not shift into neutral or go into flat tow mode to free the rear wheels. I did the manual override with a screwdriver under the boot and moved it into Neutral, but..... with anti-roll away safety system, after a couple feet the parking park locked up and it would not roll. I've read the ignition has to be in Accessory Mode to turn off the parking brake, which I could not do...... so they towed it on skates to the dealership.
After being at the dealership a week they determined the BCM failed and since I bought it from them 4 months prior, they graciously replaced it under warranty. no problems since.

I hope I'm missing something with the parking brake issue, not being able to put the ignition in Accessory mode to unlock the parking brake and put it in flat tow mode makes you a stationary brick, if this happens a down a long 4x4 trail and you can't be towed out.... I have to be missing something....

Just had the EXACT same scenario happen to me. My Bronco is currently at the dealer for a BCM replacement. Total PIA. According to the dealer, Ford just issued a "Bulletin" (not a recall) regarding this issue. It is also happening across other Ford vehicles such as the F150...
