Hi,

Even after going through 100+ posts and multiple order guides, buying this car seems so difficult than it was back in 2019.
All I had to do to buy my current Mustang, was to contact a handful of dealers to ask for a quote, and picked the one that was the best.

Unfortunately, Broncos at the local dealership lot is at least $8000 above the estimated net price shown on the Ford website, so using the same tactic from 3 years ago is no longer viable.

That left me with pressing on the "contact dealer" button at the end of Build your Bronco on Ford's website, but I wanted to make sure if this is the textbook way of buying this vehicle.

So far, I have not heard back from anybody after submitting my Bronco configuration.

Yea... that's not going too work this time around. If you find one on a lot you are going to pay $$$$ for it at 95% of the lots. You are trying to buy the hardest to get auto right now. Most including myself have waited over a year and half to get their rigs, some are still waiting. Unless you get lucky and find a dealer who doesn't mark them up and they had a customer back out, well ordering is the only option. That's a whole other ordeal, you are looking at 18-24 months before taking delivery. You might get lucky and build one that gets picked sooner, a bunch have but there is a very good chance you are going to be waiting a while.

If you find a dealer who says they can get it to you in 6-8 months, they are lying to you. You might get a base model by then. Good luck, buckle up cause it's going to be a ruff ride. Oh one side note, whatever dealer you go with get it in writing that they will only charge MSRP or lower. A bunch will jack the price up the day you go get it.

Yeah... you're going to have to go old school on this one. Physically walk into the different dealerships, shake hands, meet the sales manager, and express your interest. Find one that is offering msrp for order holders, there are many good dealers that will honor msrp for order holders, the extreme markups you see are mostly abandoned orders and the dealer is going to capitalize on those situations. Most importantly, get everything in writing with signatures from the sales manager.

There is no good way to buy a bronco now.

If a friend or family member asked me what to do, I would beg them to wait a year.

Buying off the lot (assuming you can find any) is going to be stupid expensive. If you can wait, order from a dealer that will sell at MSRP or below. Given the current market, MSRP is a decent deal. Don't expect replies to email inquiries. Face to face is about the only way you will get the time of day.

It will somewhat depend on what you want and when you want it. 2 door, Higher trim model, maybe a few years or something way over MSRP. 4 door, 2.3, soft top, you might get lucky.

I’m seeing a lot more at the local dealer but they don’t sit long and are either ones the customer didn’t want because of ADM, or just backing out. No stickers so just a guess. The two this weekend were a 4 door softtop Wild track and a 4 door softtop big bend with 2.3 and 7MT. So they are out there.

If I was a dealer and I had an abandoned order, I’d sell it for over asking. I just sold a second house for a ridiculously high amount over asking price. Of course I took it. Now, if someone made a reservation and was expecting MSRP, they shouldn’t have to pay 400.00 for nitrogen filled tires and all that other silly stuff.

I messaged the same associate that helped me with my current vehicle purchase, but I'll definitely show up and show them my interest. I hope I get the luck of buying one of their instocks near MSRP as well lol.

I work at a ford dealer and most of the orders for 4 door, big bend trims are getting through within 4-5 months right now. If you keep it simple without putting on a sasquatch package or a tow package, you might get lucky.

Oh man I have no interest in making a baby in the near future so I was thinking of buying the two door with 353A just like I did with my current car :(

I’ve read multiple and recent posts on this forum of someone placing an order and getting a scheduled build date relatively quickly—usually in about a month, some even after just a couple weeks or less!

Two most important factors are a buildable Bronco (basically no constraints—search for the most recent constraint list), and the dealership’s allocations. Unless you are ordering the tow package, PPF, and get a dealer with low allocations, I doubt your going to wait more than 6 months to get it from order to delivery. The MIC top used to be a constraint but I have read on this it isn’t a constraint like it used to be.

Good luck!

I would give you some advice but I don’t think anyone knows anything. There are constraints but there also seems to be no rhyme or reason to order fulfillment. I will say 2 doors seem to be hard to come by.

Two door might be a huge issue due to the hard top fiasco.
If you're not up to speed on that, you got some reading to do to catch up.

Fastest way into a Bronco, stay away from:
2dr
Lux pkg.
Tow pkg.
2.7L V6
anything MIC hard top

Possibly Sasquatch pkg.

To be clear, I am not fully up to date on the latest constraints. I got mine already. LOL

Find out what is officially listed by Ford as constrained still, but DO NOT go by those monthly reports they put out for manufacturing.

You'll be chasing a moving target with months old information if you go by those.

Pick your build and stay with it until any new info gets released.
