A good solution. Keep in mind that at 20” in length, you are adding a major torque load (bending moment)to the receiver mounting mechanism however.

I used to love rolling the window down on my 90's broncos... but I also remember troubleshooting them and replacing the motors a few times.

Yup! I had an 85 which I adored, but the rear window misbehaved frequently. Ha ha ha. I’d take it back in a heartbeat if I could.

Mine was a '92 that I wish my current ride was more like. I miss the extra foot of width inside and the rear window.

Buy a different boat. Lol. I wish the current tailgate could be optioned to open in the opposite direction. Open right to left would work a lot better when it comes to unloading in my garage. Most likely a safety issue due to opening into traffic, then again does Ford build a right hand drive Bronco, which would include the tailgate opening right to left?

Maybe the nextgen will have retractable glass with the wiper mounted on the gate.
That makes more practical sense and more user friendly for the soft top.

I had a 1990 4-Runner that the window rolled down in the tailgate.
It broke also.

I wish Ford had made the back window roll down into the tailgate like my 78 does. I hooked up my drift boat the other day and the rear door opens about half way before hitting the trailer, but not for enough to open the back window. So you cant access anything from the back. Just a thought! Thanks for letting me rant!

Unless the trailer is flat you're not getting the swing gate open. I had the same issue with my RZR, although it might have been slightly more open than a bow support would allow.
