I recently installed some new sound system equipment. As part of the process I had to pull the center stack of controls unplug the 3 plugs and install the new audio harness. Removing the center stack and plugs was actually one of the more difficult tasks,
For me anyways, that and removing dash speaker covers.

After putting it back together heat/AC/heated seats all work fine but there is no power to the radio/camera/start-stop buttons. Everything is plugged in, (double checked). I tried the 2 differen reset methods, checked the fuse (good), haven't tried disconnecting battery. It just doesn't seem to be getting any juice.

Any ideas??

So, two things come to mind immediately.

First thing to try is disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Long shot, but stranger things have worked.

The other is I know you said you double checked the harnesses, you may need to go back in and triple check - especially ones you didn't necessarily disconnect but are in the local area, like the one that plugs into the back of the control trim. I would actually go so far as to un-connect them and reconnect them, making sure pins didn't get bent or anything strange, and the connectors click when you re-connect them up.

Thank you. I'll try the battery trick first. I was really hoping to not have to take that centner panel off again. I don't know why but I really struggled with it, and I don't want to nick it up. Just thought ther might something I wasn't thinking about.

Curious, can I diagnose it with forescan?

My bet would be one of items mentioned. Also make sure when the plugs did get clicked back together that one of the pins did not come loose and get slightly pushed out the back of the connector.

I totally understand.

Forscan may show some DTSCs that may point you in the right direction, but those codes can also lead you on wild goose chases sometimes too

While I was getting rid of the super loud dings and dongs (after amp install, they're pretty aggressive) I went ahead and checked a couple codes that popped up...

I don't really understand the tech part of this whole thing, but my guess is like I thought, the cluster of controls for sound and camera aren't getting any power. Any advice on what these codes may mean would be great. Thanks.
