NEED HELP ASAP FOR CONSOLE VAULT

Just got a new console vault and when I was resetting the code my hand slipped and set it on a code I can not figure out. How should I go about resetting it and setting the code I wanted to set it as in the first place.

This is not a problem as long as you have the vault door open when you are setting and testing the new combination. What you don't want to do is shut the vault door and reset the lock before you verify that the combo is set as expected.

I think this pretty much nailed it. If you could get in without knowing the code, it wouldn't be worth having.

I assume your local Ford dealer can help you reset the code. My keyless entry came with a code that works even if you add your own code, have you tried the original code? Never had the vault, so don't know much about it.

The lid must be in the open position - if it's closed and locked, you may be SOL.

Assuming it's installed and locked it may take awhile. There are only 10,000 possible combinations (or 1000 if you bought the 3 digit version). You might have to try nearly all of them before you hit on the right one. Either that or an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and buy another one. I wouldn't recommend trying to pry it open. The plastic console is likely to break before the steel vault door gives way.

I bought the version with keys, so I could be wrong.
