Couldn't find any posts about this, but my '21 has started to grind going into 3rd gear. Not always, but seems to be when RPM is over 3200. No problems with any of the other gears, and I have about 10k miles. I found online that there have been issues with this in other vehicles and most seem to say it's a weak synchronizer.
Shop can't get me in until mid Sept. will this issue cause other bigger issues with the transmission? It's my daily driver and I just don't want to screw it up worse. Anything else that I should ask the shop to look at? Thanks for the advice...

Shouldn't cause bigger issues, but if it does, warranty should get you a new one. You can try to be ginger about the 2nd to 3rd shift until they get you in. Or you could jump past 3rd and go straight to 4th. Or you could just send it, try to break it, and get a warranty replacement. You've already reported a symptom to your dealer service, so warranty approval shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the insight, we will see what they tell me when they look at it.

Tbh. All 3 manuals I've own including the bronco had a bit different of a shift from 2nd to 3rd compared to the rest. It does cause me very rarely to miss shift. Only once in the bronco so far.

My 2024 badlands is doing this now. I have 13k miles. I have been seeing it at times before the 13k miles and even had the dealer look at it to have them not be able to repeat it. Now its doing it regularly so I need to go back to them. I'm not new to manual cars. I have been driving them for 40+ years. This thing just likes to grind and push back out of 3rd unless I hold the shifter firmly in place to keep it engaged a bit and even then it will pop out at times. I see it on both upshift and downshift

I took mine in at about 11k miles and they replaced the transmission. I’m at 33k now and haven’t had any issues with the new one. Good luck, hope they take care of it
