Most Important Thing To Bring...

While long pants, boots, water bottle, and chap stick all make the list... the most important thing in my opinion is to plan to be friendly with your guide and your group!

You are hitching your wagon to these people for 9+ hours. You don't have to be BFFs, but it sure keeps the excitement level up if you embrace the team concept.

Our group spent the whole time cheering each other on, knuckles out the window when completing a difficult maneuver, chatting while waiting for another Bronco to clear an obstacle, and then we all traded photos and videos when we were done!! Our group and our trail guide were so amazing! =)

Talking to others back at our lodging who attended all said, "Oh, I never met anyone else." and "We never got out of the Bronco." While those folks enjoyed their time, I feel like they really missed out on some of the camaraderie and excitement that the group dynamic brings!

As a member of the same group, I have to say, our trail guide set the tone. He was very soft spoken, but firm and knew what we needed to do to maximize our day. He told us off the bat, “We might be in the second group, but we’ll get ahead of them quickly and do twice as much while they’re talking about blinker fluid.”

And we did. In the back of the property was a “test track” as I called it where you could go up to 20+mph on dirt trail. My understanding was most groups did 2 laps, but we slipped in 3.

We went up a huge hill earlier in the day, and with the route we took in the afternoon, managed to go up and down later.

And then somehow we got to do a river bed of rock at the end. Tyson said he had only gone down, not up. He and another guide combined groups and got us up it, incredible.

But it was the camaraderie that we had and that our trail guide helped infuse in us that made the day special. Thanks to our group and guide Tyson.
