More build and price weirdness

So I was going to check out the 2021 F-150 build and price that just went live. When I went to future vehicles this is what I saw.

When you clicked on the pickup truck emoji it took you to the Bronco. Of course it is gone now. They are obviously fiddling with the site and getting things set up.


Also of note while I was playing with the F-150 build and price, I noticed the price for the 2.7 upgrade has dropped from $1995 to $1195. Could be a good sign for a decent price on the 2.7 upgrade for the Bronco.

I just checked out fords site too and I tried taking sport out of the url for the build and price and as I expected I got access denied message but then I clicked on future vehicle to check out the pickup truck emoji and I got a little survey pop up that says “ we notice you just configured a Bronco, how would you rate your overall experience with the build and price tool”.

i mean, are we surprised at this point? after the complete site meltdown during reservation night and the access/deny for configuration information, i'm not really impressed with the ford web dev team.

Keep in mind the F150 v6 turbo $ premium is over an N/A v6. Plenty of buyers with the base engine will be satisfied knowing they have a v6, i.e. less ability to charge more.

Unlike the tens of thousands of reservation holders that simply dont want a i4 in their bronco. Yes, its a turbo, but still comes with the stigma of an i4 in a truck. So premium may be much more.

Ford - prove me wrong with good pricing!
