5 minutes? I just dak dak the two back bolts off, and loosen the front two maybe 2 full rotations and boom that plate slides right off. Takes 30 seconds tops.
Yeah, but I got to get my old butt under there in the first place.

Expert pro tip: you need a 27mm for the filter cap removal.Pro tip: everything you need for an oil change is 15mm. The oil drain bolt is also 15mm.
Good to know, thanks!Expert pro tip: you need a 27mm for the filter cap removal.
Stop it. That's just mean.Have you actually changed the oil in this thing yet? With the stock plug (and warm oil) I can tell you from experience you’re not going to get a cute little run down into your drain pan directly underneath the plug. It’s going to end up all over the remaining slim section of skid plate and go everywhere as it comes out like a fire hydrant.. makes it dang near to the wheel.. It comes out so fast I had to modify my drain pan to fill faster. EDIT: added a more realistic photo for you![]()
Nah the way mine was tightened from the factory you need a screwdriver to stab straight through it. But I’ve got a 2.3L with the cartridge filter soExpert pro tip: you need a 27mm for the filter cap removal.
Ah 2.3, yes different all together, however the OP has 2.7 so 27MM applies.Nah the way mine was tightened from the factory you need a screwdriver to stab straight through it. But I’ve got a 2.3L with the cartridge filter so
