I am in the middle of the installation process and I wonder where did you put the ground? I see a few bolts from seats, but I am not sure... This:

I can’t tell from your pic where that bolt is, but I grounded to the backseat support post (4-door). There is a leg going from the backseat bench to the floor board, and a nut at the floor board. That’s where I grounded.

Thanks, will take a look. It's the back seat but not the floor. It's between a seat and a trunk. Where the wires to seats.

I just wonder, if the bolt is fine. Looks like it touches the body. Is it ok? Or better to find something else?

Send a better pic in relation to something. Can’t tell.

The bolts that hold the seat in (and the bolt that holds the seat belt in that you pictured) are all really big. My intent was to use one of those the right way, but at the point that I was looking for a ground, I was ready to wrap things up.

So for me, if you look at the "outside nut) that holds the back seat down to the floor, you will see that on one side of the bolt there is a lip. In my particular wiring kit, the ground wire's free soldered on connection slid perfectly between that lip and the bolt.

So basically I back the nut off, slid the connector in between the bolt and the lip, and tighten that huge nut back down tight. The connector can't go anywhere, can't spin, and it has been working great.

Thank you! Yes, it's the seatbelt bolt and it looks great for my placement, I wasn't just sure if it's an appropriate place for a ground wire. Is it?

I believe it is. If I remember right I used my test light to check for potential grounds. And the seatbelt bolt does work. I just didn't have an eye hole connector that large.

That should work for your ground.
Curious, When mounting the sub under the rear seat, how did you run cabling to accommodate for the Rear seat collapsing/folding down/forward ?

With the idea of zip tieing the sub to the underside of the rear seat, the sub would move with the seat when folding down.

Did you run cabling under the carpet/floor liner from the rear and just leave extra slack in cabling for when the seat folds down ?

Or did you nest / zip tie the cabling inside the inner hollow portion of one of the rear seat legs which have pivot points on the floor which folds down when the seat does ?

Trying to understand best cabling option given the sub moves when mounted underneath / folding down the seat.

Thanks !

For my install, I didn't mount mine to the underside of the seat like someone else did. I mounted mine to the floor under the seat (I velcro'd mine to the floor carpet under the seat). So my install actually doesn't allow the seat to fold down. If I ever want the seat to fold down, I just have to unplug my sub and remove the sub.

Ah, gotcha. Hmmm. Curious what others have done with cabling when mounting to the underside. Thanks for the reply!

Installed my "Nano". Thanks all for your help. I happy with the result. Went pretty clean. I put it under the rear seat. Used the PNP harness and added some tape to make the connection solid. It looks like one harness now and I am not worried for the connection between two parts. The seat is fully foldable. Took some time to find the right spot. Everything is hidden and it looks really clean. I can still reach the back panel for settings but blindly. But it works :) In addition with all my upgrade (Kickers KS + Key 200 amp) the whole setup is quite amazing!

@evgenyvasenev glad it worked out for ya. I mounted mine a little more inder the seat but basically the same.

Very happy with the results for the price (and an otherwise completely stock system), but it still doesn't hold a candle to the factory sub im my Jeep. Now that one hits all the frequencies for some excellent bass.

I am glad!
Does the seat fully fold? It's almost one place I found where nothing is touched (including the harness connection) and the seat is fully foldable.

I think so, i mean i fold it all the way down until it stops, but didn't put a bunch of weight on it to smash it down. Ever at that point I reached my arm under there and it was still plenty of wiggle in the wires.
