Microchip hold until May 25 for my Bronco

They have control over telling us that they will only build our vehicles when they have all the parts for them, then building them, and then completely BSing a delivery date only to move it back 3 months.

Moving target for them to. Balls are being dropped by suppliers, shipping agencies, etc also. Can't always foresee this coming, especially the degree to which it's going to happen or affect things.

No they will keep building them as long as they can be moved.

Have to. Union contracts dictate it, It nothing else. Must meet certain production levels and turn certain # of hrs, etc.

Working at a Dealership, you better than anyone should know, there was never a way your Bronco was going into production on 1/28/2022 and was going to be delivered on 2/07/2022, even under the best of circumstances.

A man can hope. lol But my point is, Ford's been terrible at managing expectations for 2 years now. Even our Ford rep can't tell us much about when to expect Maverick's, when to expect F150s even, let along Bronco orders.

In production since 12/15 the chips are the main chips in the vehicles. They are basically producing them and swapping the chips once they are parked on ice mountain.

My Bronco has been in Production mode for 3 weeks now. So I reached out to my dealer and the info he has is that my bronco is 95% built but is on a Micro-chip hold until 5/25/22

Your dealer actually had a date??

Did they say which module is holding up the build? I'm thinking my Bronco is held up because of the Tow Package. This would be the TTM Module. (Trailer Tow Module)

Your Bronco has about 30 modules so it could be any of them causing the delay.

Other manufactures are having issues with microchips also. that was what my reply was about.

Sure would be good if Ford provided more transparency (LOL!!) on these issues. With the factory shut-downs and chip shortages until May, first I guess it depends on what chip(s), but otherwise I wonder if the assumption should be that with no build date yet, than none likely until June or later.

I'm now 19 months in as a July 2020 reservation holder, so this is starting to feel like delivery no sooner than Q4 of 2022 and a strong possibility of sometime in 2023.

I've got a 9/24/20 reservation date so reading all of this, I'm trying to set my expectations that I'll be re-ordering my 22 and turning it into a 23 - Ford better price protect those of us that ordered in 2020!

I put the odds at even money that a 'mostly built' 2021 Bronco will finally be delivered in 2023.

As mentioned the second half of January build week threads as well as the ice mountain thread has talked about this a lot. Most everyone is getting the microchip hold status and May deliveries. Ford stopped or slowed 8 plants this week. However, there are some reports of people getting shipped and delivered status that were very recently told Chip Hold until May. One should be picking his up today with an edd of May. Here’s to hope

I am starting to picture a poker game. All the product execs from Ford are playing, but with Auto computer chips as the bet. the winner gets the chips for their particular product. The guy playing for the Bronco product line sucks at poker.

I have a build week of 12/6/21 for a 2021. I have not heard a work from Ford since an email Nov.13, 2021. My dealer says est delivery date week of 4/5 due to chip.
