And they're stellar at managing to fail expectations.Ford is on a roll with failing to manage expectations.
I don't even have a build date. I am literally not going to get my day 2 res until the 2023 model year, am I.My pizza tracker finally just updated to 5/31 for mine. Originally a 1/24 build week.
They have control over telling us that they will only build our vehicles when they have all the parts for them, then building them, and then completely BSing a delivery date only to move it back 3 months.Normally wouldn't take up for Ford on this mess. But they have no control over the shortage if microchips and its affecting every manufacturer in the car industry and other industry as well.
Should be watching the news. Even govt officials are saying this could plague manufacturers for another two years or more.
it's gonna be a problem for a good, long while.
Sorry I don't see your build specs? When dropping good info as you are, please provide your build specs so the rest of us can compare information. My Bronco has been in Production mode for 3 weeks now. So I reached out to my dealer and the info he has is that my bronco is 95% built but is on a Micro-chip hold until 5/25/22
The rumor was IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster).Did they say which module is holding up the build? I'm thinking my Bronco is held up because of the Tow Package. This would be the TTM Module. (Trailer Tow Module)
Your Bronco has about 30 modules so it could be any of them causing the delay.
With respect, read any of the Ice Mountain threads.Probably would have heard about this by now if it was a big issue.
The issue was a batch of modules came in with bad chips ... this is not a chip shortage issue per se ... they updated you when they found out about the bad chips in the module. They have control over telling us that they will only build our vehicles when they have all the parts for them, then building them, and then completely BSing a delivery date only to move it back 3 months.
I feel for all of you in this situation, its the same as it was for us last year. I was rescheduled 5 times before it finally happened Oct 27, I took delivery Dec 1. If any of you poor souls are in the 4 corners area around Durango and want to spend some time in a functioning BD with working 2.7 and MIC 2.0My Bronco has been in Production mode for 3 weeks now. So I reached out to my dealer and the info he has is that my bronco is 95% built but is on a Micro-chip hold until 5/25/22
