Dealer said the top doesn't have the insulation and is backordered... Did your tops come without insulation?
No. they are 2 orders. The insulation is installed 1st then the top and then the windows. I am really looking at the Armadillo top for a long term answer.

@Dude1967 just so I understand fully. They are 2 variations to order from? One with and without insualtion?
The " wonderful MIC top' comes without the insulation from the factory to the dealer for replacement. It is a separate option when replacing but standard when you get the MIC top with your Bronco from the factory. Kinda kooky IMO.

Dude this crap is so annoying. Debating on getting a hothead headliner and asking for a credit back

I get it. Number 4 for me, so far so good on this one. Its a shame Ford could not build them like the Gen5 tops. Freaking unbreakable. Been looking at TOR tops but the Armadillo top in Texas is looking like one of the options. Not alot of love for the 2door crew:unsure:

When I decide on which one I get I have Linex just down the road. They will be doing a few mods and then I will have them Linex it and sell it. Like I said, Ford should make it right and give us the right top the 1st time!! Que the Ford bot........

@Dadsquatch i saw your top looked identical to mine. Should I replace this under warranty?
Sorry for the late reply. I never got notified of you tagging me for some reason. Based on your pics, should it be doing that? No. Is it unfortunately normal? Yes. 3 out of my 4 hard tops have what’s shown in your pics in the exact same location. It’s hard to see in certain lighting. In the shade shows it the best (like you have in your garage with the door open). I wouldn’t necessarily claim a warranty on what is shown in your pics, because you will likely get another top with the same issue or worse. I would claim a warranty though if it’s starting to crack on the side under the window.

No worries. I did have cracks by the window and already had the top replaced. Debating on linexing...

I’m having the same thought on Line-X down the road. Glad you got a new top. Did it have the waves on top of the rear shell?

Sorry if this is way different than the original post, for some reason it’s not loading the pictures for me. Is this similar to what you all were seeing? Or is this something totally different? Hard to capture in the light but there are small indents on my front and mid panels. Never had the top off, about 4 months old.

I believe I've got some of the same going on in my new replacement top, just installed a couple weeks ago -- those waves on the side of the panel. I was washing it for the first time last weekend and noticed it. You only see it in certain lighting right? If you only see it in certain lighting, I wouldn't worry much about it. These tops are absolute GARBAGE and a replacement top is likely to be as bad or worse. @Ford should be fucking ashamed and replace every one of them with a mod top (assuming those are better). BTW, it took over two months for my replacement top, because the first one was damaged and my service advisor was less than stellar.

Thank you! And that really sucks that a new top has just as much chance to have these. I’d pay up for a painted one if they’d let me to get out of it. Definitely worse in certain lighting, twilight and the garage lights just make it pop like crazy. Sort of can’t unsee it now any time if that makes sense. Not a fan of it at all, it’s actually driving me crazy now that I’ve seen it
