Sure, I'd take a metal roof, maybe even produced by Ford, but it better not be designed by Ford. Ford designed every single roof so far. Webasto has been building roof systems for nearly every car company for years without incident. To think that this is on Webasto at this point isn't really looking holistically at the big picture.

Hell, if ford built it, it would probably look like it came from a High School shop class.

I think with all the mic top issues , a metal or aluminum top with removable front panels and removable side windows would be a solutions. Ford produced ,not an outside vendor.Just a thought.
It would be super heavy, and conductive to heat. I would vote no on that.

That’s why all the first gen Broncos had white metal roofs. They were still quite warm in the South Florida sun. They weren’t very light either!

Here's an off the wall idea. What if Ford or a 3rd party made clear panel replacements for the front roof panels? With enough metal frame it could be plenty sturdy and would let natural light in the front.

How about a hard top Bronco without removeable roof? I would be very interested.

Stainless Steel. Like Tesla Truck. Bulletproof ???????? LOL Or drone proof too. (For Russian Broncos)

A Canadian company does /did was pricey. Challenge with metal even AHSS it need to have reinforcement stamping to eliminate flex which means they need sandwich with top skin.

CF is relatively cheap and Ford was on the right path with MIC but they accepted a bottom spec I'm sure if they went with premium spec would be fine, like painted tops.

At some point it's too heavy to manually handle which is why electric hard tops were popular, but costly, and ultimately dropped by even high end models.

If you would be willing to pay the cost of an aluminum roof, why not just get a non MIC roof? The painted ones seem to hold up just fine. Could be an option.
