Hmmm. If this was easy to bolt on and off (basically just use when off-roading) I would be interested. Then I may not care about sensor relocation but would still be interested in camera view. I would not order one with a bull bar.

Need to know what winches would work.
This (though I’m fine with bar, either way). For extra credit, make it attach with pins instead of bolts. I’d want to keep it in the cargo area and only attach when I need to self-recover. I’ve been dreaming up ways to make this myself but I’d be happy to buy yours instead

I'll buy one, I prefer bar on, and would like parking sensor issue to be addressed if this will impact them. Thanks for making some awesome products! I just bought a set of your rear seat carpet covers.

I will check the following items
1. front camera view with this
2. the bull bar to be removable
3. holes for parking sensor relocation

It seems a lot of people don't need the bull bars, do you guys think should I just remove them or make them detachable
Holes for the parking sensors are easy enough, I could do it myself, but after using the adaptive cruise, that’s a feature I’m not willing to give up!
Maybe have the winch mount sit a touch higher to give enough roof for the factory ACC sensor location to work and offer a camera relocation mount and extension cable.
This will add a bit to the approach angle as well!
Removable bar would work, but it’s not a deal breaker for me, maybe as an added part, I’m just thinking of mounting lights at that location.
I don’t understand the pocket lights, you can’t remove the lower bumper for extra clearance, one of the major features of the Modular bumper, with the pocket lights mounted.
If I was to design a light mount, I would use only two attaching bolts, not the popular 3 most manufacturers feature. This would add the ability to remove and remount the “pocket lights on top of the bumper since the bumper’s Bronco bolts are the same distance apart, top and bottom…I believe Raptor will have this feature!
Or you can just have them on the top or bottom and leave them there!
Just saying…lol

Nice work. I'd be interested in seeing the structural specs. Gauge of steel being used, type of steel, weld specs, and internal strengthening used. Would also want to see some lab testing of the strength and integrity. With a big winch on it doing some heavy pulling...last thing you want is a catastrophic failure.

Also, will it be powder coated in the Ford Carbon Gray - M7 color code?
None of the other manufacturers have provided this? Not saying it is not great info, but other than metal thickness, no one is giving all that info.

Bar OK if not affecting camera view. So, buy if:

1. Fits OEM Ford Modular Bumper
2. Doesn’t impede camera view
3. Can relocate sensors
Same but would also like it to not interfere with ACC.

Setting aside for a moment whether or not other manufacturers provide such safety information, most of the well-known dominant manufacturers in this sector, such as ORF, Poison Spyder, Fab Fours, etc, have been building and selling winch bumpers in the US market for a long time and are based in the US. They have proven track record of quality and safety performance. And, being US based they are subject to US product liability laws, which have a way of protecting us all by mitigating the risks of legal liability by designing and manufacturing their products to meet appropriate safety standards. I like what Mabett is doing and the business he is building and it works well within the low risk interior space, but this product ventures into a higher risk area, which merits some questions and answers. And, with all due respect to Mabett, it is not a long time proven manufacturer of a product that has a high risk of injury should a catastrophic failure occur. Further, Mabett is based in China and sadly, the recourse against such an off-shore company is very challenging. All that is not to suggest that Mabett would not produce a quality product that meets appropriate safety requirements (he seems genuinely interested in producing good products), but the pressure on it to spend the money to do so is not the same as that on the long time, US based manufacturers. Mabett can address these issues by providing detailed information that goes toward safety and builds consumer confidence. Steel type, gauge of metal, weld specs, structural design, etc.

@Mabett so does it replace that bottom center portion of the modular bumper completely? just curious.

i know someone asked about how it would interface with the front camera but a winch would obscure the view so you would need to have someway to relocate that camera. Also I see like it has some holes for the front sensors i believe so just make sure you test that first since the winch mount pushes out further than the bumper.

So Rough Country, Smittybilt and a lot of 4 wheel parts stuff are made overseas.

frankly I am poking because I don't trust some of the US based companies that have posted here. I have studied What Warn and Ford have done with their offerings and I feel that there are some key elements missed by a lot of the other manufacturers..

I am all in on US made. My TrailReady wheels and my custom winch mount where made locally by local craftspeople.

I truly believe that there are a bunch of winch mounts out there that are not engineered or strong enough. I just wish people would research farther than where it is made.

Nice! This is a great option. Although, If you can make skid plate winch mount without cutting part of the frame, you'll have me for sure and a lot of modular bumper owners.
