Just acquired a new 2025 bronco - OBX . Love driving it.

may be I’m being a little ocd : noticed the wire on the rear door and the tape job. If the purpose of the tape is waterproofing , kind of the shoddy job. Probably should be wrapped in the other direction.

would appreciate comments

Probably not going to make a difference either way. But if it’s bothering your OCD, then I guess fix it 🤷‍♂️

It's not for waterproofing. It's just friction tape - it's there to protect the wire from UV and mechanical damage (chafing/etc)

You can wrap more tape around it the other way if you want (3M friction tape is easy to find on Amazon, some auto parts places carry it). I would suggest if you are going to do anything to it for aesthetics, then maybe some braided cable sleeving or wire loom.
