LineX-Paint MIC Top QUESTIONS

I have had no issues with mine, live in Florida sun and take it on and off frequently based on weather. Probably doesn't pertain to the top as much but as far as the lower items like bumpers I would suggest sticking to the darker colors as you can stain the lighter colors. If I had to do over again I would have stuck with the Carbonized Grey color for bumpers as well vs the Cactus Grey. Carbonized Grey looks and holds up great.

Thanks for the follow up Todd. I'm almost out of warranty and my second top is starting to crack. Don't know if Ford is going to take care of it but if not, my next stop was Line-X so glad to hear it has been holding up on the MIC top. I thought as much, I worked at a Line-X dealer for awhile, the shit is awesome!!!!.

No worries. Yes, I used it on fender flares and bumpers on my Gen 1 Raptor and loved the results. When I got the Bronco I probably got a little carried away with it because I loved the protection it provides. Hopefully it alleviates any further issues with cracking for you. I definitely feel like it completely encases the top adding a durable layer of protection and don't know of anything else comparable. She is tucked up out of the way for now

My new four door is a MIC top (no cracks yet at 250 miles). I was thinking of this for the top for the obvious reason of preservation. However, I also thought that I could get an actual black top to match the Bestop Skyrider as well. I wonder if I could just find the back section somewhere used and Line X that black to match the Skyrider and put my factory MIC in storage....

I did ALOT of Line-X on my Bronco, front and rear bumpers, fender flares, front of hood, front grille, bottom of doors, side mirrors, rock sliders, hard top, roll cage, etc. I have a Gen 1 Raptor that I had the fender flares and metal portions of the bumpers done and it came out amazing. They ended up doing the side steps as well because it looked so much better than the factory and I had the Magnetic Metallic done vs the factory black. When I got the Bronco, I knew I wanted to use Line-X for both protection and aesthetics. As far as the top is concerned, I know they did remove the rear glass for sure as the rear wiper wasn't connected back properly when I got it back. As far as everything else on the hard top it looks like it was taped off. You can request they add some gloss to the topcoat if you like the shine. I don't know your specific situation and if this is your only means of transportation, if not, then I would probably try to do the teardown myself and just bring the parts in that you are wanting covered. If that isn't an option than do your homework, these franchises are individually owned and operated so the quality of work can vary from shop to shop unfortunately. Line-X, as a whole, stands behind their product so if you have an issue, you shouldn't have an issue getting it corrected, outside of the hassle of doing so. I think the Carbonized Grey color looks great in Line-X. I do think, for me, if I had to do over again, I probably would steer away from the lighter colors like the Cactus Grey as it shows dirt very easily and also any imperfections in the Line-X job itself.
