I'll use it for a daily driver, at the same time I hunt/fish/camp a LOT. Most places you can get to with any 4wd and my FJ has never let me down in the last 13 years. That being said, the FJ has over 200,000 miles of use on it and sometimes you just wanna be able to get another 1/2 mile down the trail....

Do I NEED the BL, probably not, but I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Plus, I am hoping it will re-sale better.

Bronco will be my daily driver. I will take it to some service roads and basic trails I find. Nothing crazy like rock crawling. Probably drive over the curb at work cause I am tired of badging in/out (they place the scanner in an awkward place) No way am I spending the amount of money I will end up spending and take it out to fu$k it up. If I wanted that I would buy a used vehicle and make it for off road

80% Daily Driver, it will get used as a work truck on the weekends, some fun snow wheeling, ORV trails whenever I get the opportunity (72” width trails) Silver Lake dunes once or twice a year. It will tow the motorcycles and Sea Doos to the trails and lakes. Basically it will be used just like all my trucks, but with a bit more time for fun, because my kids are out of the house and we may have more spare time. I can afford to do some things that I could not when I was younger. So pretty loaded OB with a rear locker and 33” tires, tow package and the modular bumper. Probably add a winch, roof rack and some basic recovery gear.

So we should all buy Outer Banks? But it doesn't look cool.
Looks are subjective. An Outer Banks with painted flares is in line with a G-Wagen as far as a capable yes clean daily.
I guess alot depends on your age too...

Wife’s daily and she wants to do all the trails we did with my Fj the first year we got it and she is driving. Figured 2 door badlands with 37’s she won’t have any problems.

I wonder how long until the first Bronco does this.

Not that I would probably do it period, but I think I might have approached that a little differently...

To follow up on my post from previous page...I live in CO, so you better believe it'll be offroad and not talking about fire roads. 4dr Badsquatch will be the wife's DD just like our other vehicles that are wheeled hard currently. We relocated from FL for a reason.

I will be using as a daily driver. Not intending on any off road use. I've owned 3 Wranglers none of which had seen anything but pavement. I like having 4 wheel drive in the winter and top/doors off during the warmer months. I reserved a BL but I will build and price all models when I see what options are available. I know I'll get the mall crawler calls and other opinions that may differ from my intended use and that's Ok.

There is nothing wrong with having an off road capable vehicle that stays on the road. In my mind, a mall crawler is a vehicle with the look (a la spacers and blocks) but without the capability. The Bronco is fully capable if and when you decide to get out there.

For some reason all the lifted Chevy trucks around here that would crush the fenders if they articulated 2 inches comes to mind.

DD with off-roading that isn't all that harmful. Aka dunes, mud and the occasional dispersed camping.

I seem to forget and always remember after the fact, that I need one of those stickers on the dash "Remember idiot...you have to drive this thing home."

How is silver lake Dunes? I’ve always wanted to go with my truck but always afraid it gets too busy to go anywhere.

While I will not be rock crawling and final choice will take that into consideration, my wife and I do hit the mountains a lot in the Northern Alberta winters and plan to start to do some overlanding with a new off-road trailer. So for us it will be about ability to get in and out of some amazing places versus weekends of trail bashing.

This is going to be my extra for fun/weekend vehicle.
Will likely do light off roading. Nothing near moab type rock crawling.

I'm getting black diamond Sasquatch/V6/hardtop because I love the way it looks. Very little to do with "needing" any of it. Hell no one "needs" an extra vehicle just for fun. But that is exactly what this is going to be. I will also have the roof and grill painted white for the same reason.
