I've been hanging around here for a while, rarely posting but I've never did an introduction post. Name's Chuck, I live in Southport, NC (Cape Fear area) and I bought my '24 Big Bend 2dr back in November. I've owned lots of Jeeps, 1 CJ-3A, 1 CJ-7 and 4 Wranglers- 3 TJ's and a JK. I also had a '19 Colorado ZR-2 that was a great truck with awful seats. I needed something that met this criteria:
1. Fun
2. Light enough to be a TOAD behind my Class C motorhome, also must be 4WD and able to be put in neutral tow mode.
3. Comfy enough to take short trips in- say, 300 miles or less.
Jeeps were out- I'm just not a fan of the JL platform. We considered a Maverick hybrid and came real close to buying one when I looked out the window of the dealership and eyed this:
Got the salesman to get the keys and after an extended test drive, I was hooked. Made a great deal and already put 19,000 miles on it. It's my daily driver, TOAD, and fun vehicle- ok, it shares that duty with this:
1988 Mazda RX-7 convertible- been a long-time rotorhead.
