  1. What did you drive before your Bronco?

The manual is fun, but it really needs two things: 1. The skip shift eliminator. That 1-4 skip shift under light acceleration was maddening. 2. An improved shifter. Hurst made one and I can't remember who made one too, but both greatly improved the experience. I never did change the shifter but...
  2. hooking up trailer lights.. is dealer needed ?

Yep, I used the Curt harness as well- pretty easy to install, purely plug n' play.
  3. What did you drive before your Bronco?

I had a '13 Challenger R/T with a 6MT for a while- here's a pic of me and Mrs. RJS Dragon slaying in that ol' fat pig: Thing is, I never bonded with that car. I came out of a 2001 Corvette convertible, also 6MT equipped that I loved, but had a myriad of electrical problems that all but forced...
  4. Well, this is a new one…. this was left on my Bronco

This is commonplace around here. The idea was started as a way to compliment someone's Jeep- place a duck on it with a note, and somehow that's evolved into some Jeep owners buying bags of ducks and little mounts to cover their dash, as if dozens of them are some kind of status symbol. It...
  5. How many miles are on your gen6 Bronco?

Bought my '24 BB 2dr in Nov '24. As of this morning it has 19,352 miles.
  6. What did you drive before your Bronco?

I had a 2014 Sahara 2dr that I liked very much: Unfortunately, I was dumb when I purchased it used and didn't crawl underneath. One fine day I was driving along when it all of a sudden got LOUD- I stopped and looked underneath, that's when I discovered the entire undercarriage was RUSTY- turns...
  7. Well, this is a new one…. this was left on my Bronco

Meh. Definitely appreciate the humor in your post, but you'll quickly figure out that as a retired Navy submariner, I'm not exactly in tune with the feelings of the collective (a genteel way of saying I don't give a sh--); my grandson means far more to me than the cardinal sin of displaying a...
  8. It occurs I've never introduced myself

Nice rig! Here's ours: 2019 Dynamax Isata3 24RB. Just enough for the two of us, we've really enjoyed it, although we haven't used it enough so far this year. We have plans to correct that very soon, though. A few Navy reunions and some visits to areas we haven't been to yet are upcoming.
  9. It occurs I've never introduced myself

If I had a nickel for every time...:) Thanks for the welcome!
  10. It occurs I've never introduced myself

Been to the Smokehouse many, many times. Fishy Fishy Cafe, Provisions- yeah, we eat good here in Southport!
  11. Looking at a short cheap cars!

I endorse the Fiat 500 Abarth- they are an absolute hoot to drive, as long as you understand the build quality of those ain't great. Not in the "leave you stranded on the road" quality, but the fit and finish is subpar and trim is known to break fairly often. A nice alternative is a Mazda3...
  12. It occurs I've never introduced myself

I've been hanging around here for a while, rarely posting but I've never did an introduction post. Name's Chuck, I live in Southport, NC (Cape Fear area) and I bought my '24 Big Bend 2dr back in November. I've owned lots of Jeeps, 1 CJ-3A, 1 CJ-7 and 4 Wranglers- 3 TJ's and a JK. I also had a...
  13. Well, this is a new one…. this was left on my Bronco

Unpopular opinion incoming. I don't mind stuff like this, as long as it's placed with respect for the vehicle. I owned 6 Jeeps over my life and the ducking thing was only a thing while I had the last 2. I occasionally would find a duck left on my Jeep, usually on the door handle. I didn't...
  14. What did you drive before your Bronco?

I split my time between my daily driver, a 2019 Colorado ZR2: and our TOAD, a 2004 Wrangler Rocky Mountain Edition. I don't take a bunch of pics of my vehicles, I typically grab the ones from the dealer's website if I got it from a dealer. The ZR2 was a great truck with the worst set of seats...
  15. Robins Egg Blue Heritage LE gets matching seatbelts

That's unfortunate that Safety Restore failed you. I used their service to rebuild the seat belt mechanisms on my FC RX-7 convertible and since the webbing was 35 years old at the time I had them replaced as well- they did a great job and I had no issues at all with customer service. Anyway...
