Yes. There are options that bolt in with no mods, including cPE intercooler and CVF charge pipes, which is what I went with (also did Injen CAI at the same time). It really wakes the Bronco up. Pair that with a good custom tune or at least the ProCal and it's a whole different truck.

Are you looking for more performance? If so and what it gives you is worth the $$$ to power go for it. I did the procal tune and I am happy with my power. I am actually afraid with my use to build more as I do not believe the powertrain is designed to handle to much more once you add tire weight, vehicle weight regear and then push the power in a 4L locked situation. I am waiting on my UFD and Ultimate 60 to arrive so I can use what I already have. If you mostly use it on the road, go for it. 3300 rpm locked and sawing aired down 37's trying to find a bite on wet muddy rock ledges.... snap.

As far as intercoolers. If your going to upgrade your beast, this will be one of many so choose one of the great 3rd party manufacturers.

but I will say, getting bigger charge pipes, intercooler, and intake box at the same time will save you a lot of disassembly/assembly work.

You are not gonna make any/much HP in normal driving with an intercooler but better for long pulls/hard use and it would be my first performance mod (after a tune) then a downpipe for better flow…a cai and catback would be last for me…but the 2.7 does pretty good with just a ford tune for shifting and another $3k+ or so for maybe 50 hp isn’t worth it to me (for now).
