I'll try and keep this quick.

Basically I need assurance from the more knowledgeable folks here.

I'm a newbie to the Bronco universe, namely the new Broncos and this entire reservation/order process. I also have an obsessive personality, so now that I'm into this, I'm absorbing as much info as possible. But in regards to my order, I feel terribly uninformed and it is killing me.

There's the scenario:
10-12-21 My wife and I walk into the dealership, no reservation. We test drive a Bronco and naturally want one. We sit at the salesman's desk and go through the b&p 2021 and he prints out the summary and tells us the 2022 orders begin the next day, so they'll submit then so we get a 2022. We leave happy.

Since then, that salesman has quit. I immediately call the dealership to make sure everything is still good with our order. I am assured all is well.

I speak with the new salesperson and inquire about why we've not received an email confirmation from the dealership or Ford.com (the emails I see lots of people posting here). I'm told not to worry, the Bronco has been ordered.

Salesperson texts me a picture of the Preview Build sheet. So far this is the only documentation I've seen regarding our order.

Should we be concerned that the order hasn't truly been submitted? How have we not received the email that everyone else seems to get within a few hours or a day or two later?

Ford's email and tracking systems suck. Many others that are in a similar position to you or just resubmitted their 2022 build (that has reservations) either haven't gotten anything from Ford or it took up to a week.

Have the dealer send you the DORA for the order and confirm that the Priority Code is somewhere between 10 and 19, that means it was submitted correctly and is able to be pulled for scheduling. Depending on what you ordered and your dealer's popularity/size/waiting list, you could be waiting a few weeks or a few years.

Be patient as this is not the normal car buying experience. You’ve entered into the highly desirable bronco world which is nothing like you’ve ever experienced. Be persistent. Be patient and eventually you’ll get an email that your vehicle has been confirmed.

The Preview Build sheet I was sent shows a priority code of 19. But is that sheet the same as the DORA you speak of?

A significant percentage of this forum members have reservations from July 2020.
With initial orders opening in Jan 2021.
And then assembly line production beginning in June 2021.
Not too mention multiple build date delays 4-5 times or more!
So strap in get comfortable and join the line with your chair and coffee tumbler!

I've seen the posts and it is shocking.

I'm prepared to wait. It would be much easier if I had an email from Ford saying "we have your order" rather than my dealership saying "don't worry".

What you should be concerned about is getting a signed purchase agreement from the sales manager. Especially since your original salesperson quit.
This.
Then if you have an hour or more to wait on hold on a week day you can call customer service and they will tell you if your dealer put it in or not. You will need your order number though.

7/15/2020 res here. All I can say is good luck. Heed the above advice. Make sure your agreed price is triple signed by the GM and you (Ford dealers like adjusted dealer markups). Order a basic build or you’ll be waiting a long while. And no. I don’t have mine yet.

this speech from Bane in Batman rings true for us long haulers hearing new folks come into this process “Ah you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted the dark. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but blinding!”

Oh and when you finally figure out the website to look at your account, don’t be surprised that the green dot says ordering in progress and never changes. No need to start yet another thread like so many have because they won’t read or use the search function. None of ours changes until it actually gets pulled for production.
Also there is a back door link that you can use if you have your reservation number. Just delete the end of this and add your order number……now pay attention- it will take you to a log in screen. You have to log in again with your Ford account (email and password). It takes you to a different looking screen which will then show you a ordering in progress screen that won’t change either until pulled for a build. This backdoor just has more info about what you actually ordered.

Appreciate it.

Am I correct in assuming this last bit won't apply to me since I just walked in and ordered and have no reservation?
